About The Pub

Boasting one of the best Pub locations in Bristol, on the historic harbour at Baltic Wharf. The original bulding dates back to 1868 and was used by merchants for storing Baltic timber for the growing number of businesses in the Dock in that period.

When the Docks closed in 1975 the building went into decline and then became the home for the Harbour Master's Office. In 1983 it was refurbished and became ''The Cottage''.

The Vibrant waterside area of Bristol runs from the City Centre to the Cumberland Basin where you will find the Cottage INN at Baltic Wharf set in the peaceful, relaxed end of the Harbour in the most picturesque setting one could imagine. The attractively converted stone-built building with its wood paneled interior, seafaring prints and pictures of old Bristol has a very traditional & friendly atmosphere, a waterside haven.

The waterside terrace offers excellent views of Clifton and the Suspension Bridge, with a ferry to & from the City centre that goes from just outside the pub. There is also the 500 Bus Service which is available from the  Cumberland road (abundant free parking).

The Cottage is popular all year round, but a particularly popular venue in the summer months when the sun hits from lunchtime to early evening.
